Wednesday, February 11, 2015

Do you have a raging SWEET TOOTH!? *Raises hand* ---I do! We all have them and while working out that darn sweet tooth can get in the way! So what are the alternatives to maintaining a healthy diet while kicking that sweet tooth to the curb?

Here is a list of my TOP 10 alternatives:

Chewing Gum (Sugar Free)
Tic Tacs

P90x Protein Bar

Raisins

Fruit

Hersheys Pure Dark Chocolate (bite size individual packs)

Ice Breaker Sours

P90X Recovery Drink

Shakeology

Wine 6oz

P90X Daily Progress

Tuesday, February 3, 2015

Today, after waking up and jumping on the scale, I can see that I am right on track! I have been consistently losing weight and today I just lost another pound--so exciting! I'm right on track to meet my 90 day goal, which is to lose a minimum of 20 lbs. I chose 20lbs because its achievable, realistic, and anything more than that is a bonus! Consistency when losing weight is a real mood booster and motivator, every time I see another pound or an inch off, I automatically know it's going to be a good day! Today was so important for me to see that -1lb on the scale because (ladies) when it's that time of the month, you know you gain water weight. This can be a real turn-off because it confuses us as to if what we are doing is really working. The key is to ignore gains and focus on the finish, you will see that with consistency and determination you can achieve anything!

Here in Pennsylvania the weather is outrageously cold and miserable-- 17 degrees, yikes! When the weather outside is frightful, it's delightful being inside my little house with my loved ones. It's such a great time to be cozy & get my workout on!!  If you live in a state that gets dumped on with snow in the winter, you can start to get some real Winter blues. You need to keep in mind that Spring is right around the corner-- get motivated and pop in a workout DVD. This way you can get your workout in and increase your mood.

Speaking of workouts, I just got done with my Kenpo X workout. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, its a combination of kickboxing and martial arts. I think the reason I do the workouts is because I get to have my P90X recovery drink! This is the most amazing thing on the planet! For those who don't know, it tastes like an orange creamsicle. It's really important to have a recovery drink after workouts because it replenishes your body after your workout and helps repair your muscles. It also aides in easing muscle soreness which is definitely a huge plus.

Note: There are so many recovery drinks and protein shakes out on the market today. Some consist of good ingredients and others are filled with unhealthy fillers, so do your re
search before you purchase one to make sure it is the perfect fit for you.

Week 2 P90X! Are you still Motivated?

Tuesday, January 13, 2015

It is currently WEEK 2 of P90X and I've been thinking... a LOT of people come to me and say that it's easier for them to do the workouts than it is to follow the meal plan...or that they don't know what they need to be eating.. I cannot stress enough how important it is to follow the meal plan guide that comes with your workout. In the guide, it tells you what to eat, when to eat, and how to cook it. The only thing they don't do it shop for you or feed you. What more do you want? A lot of people have this mentality: "Well I kinda know what I should be eating." If your not 100% sure, then you're not getting 100% results, that can be the difference between a size 6 and a size 8!

Let me tell you that I wanted to see if what I was preaching was correct or I was just overreacting. Well I completed a workout program where I did not follow any meal plan, I just packed it in...Anything that I wanted! Guess what my results were.....I lost 5lbs in 90 days. What a waste of time! In comparison, when I did P90X while following the meal plan, I lost 30lbs in 90 days. So you choose, you either go all in, or don't bother wasting your time if you're not 100% serious about getting results.

So I'm still going strong, I committed to no cheat meals for three weeks. Do you know how much will-power that takes? It is unreal how much of a mental challenge a weight loss journey is rather than a physical struggle. I did not have even one cheat meal, snack or sugary drink. Did I have cravings? Of course I did, its normal, I'm human; I wanted everything I could think of so far in desperation! Even the dogs were getting treats and I had to watch them enjoy it. BUT, I have lost 4lbs so far this week and it keeps me going!

Typically, you should throw out all your junk food, outta sight, outta mind! Of course I have a boyfriends who is not dieting or working out, so I have tons of goodies hiding in the cupboards! For many of your, the struggle will be real...most of you will be on this journey alone and the popping of a chip bag or the crunch of a cookie, will start to really test you. On the plus side, he really supports me and will occasionally meal prep, cook, and shop for me. If you're like me and you have people around you, especially in your house...always remember the reason WHY you're doing this. You are doing this for a reason, as soon as you start to think that you could stop, you will be holding yourself back from TRUE happiness. The only one you are competing against is yourself, stop being the enemy.

2015 New Year Resolution

Friday, January 9, 2015

Hey everyone! I have to be honest and as hard as it is to admit, I gained weight. I had a really INCREDIBLE P90X transformation and I thought I would NEVER gain that weight back EVER! Look what actually happened....I gained it back plus 50lbs more!

I am so embarrassed to admit my weight gain to you, but I need you all to hold me accountable and I will do the same for you. Now that we're starting off with a New Year, I figured it would be a good idea to get back in shape and commit. It isn't going to be easy, but I will do it...my goal is to lose 96lbs in 2015. You can call it a New Year's Resolution, but really I want to be a great role model to you all. It's just time for a change. These long and cold winter days are hard on everybody, but with Spring around the corner and a few weddings to go to this Summer, my reason for getting in shape just got more real!

When I did P90x, 3 years ago, I followed that diet to a "T", and I did every single workout. I was focused and determined back then, I had a CLEAR DIRECTION!!!! So I guess I owe it to myself and all of you to take a leap and challenge myself again. Below are my starting measurements and before pictures...which NEED to be taken so you can measure your progress. Remember always focus on progress, not perfection!

Starting Measurements (Start Date: 01/05/2015)

Weight: 221

Waist: 34
Hips: 47
Chest: 42.5
Right Arm: 14
Left Arm: 14
Right Leg: 27
Left Leg: 26.5
Body Fat %: 38.2
Pant Size: 16
30 Day Goals:

It's important to always have MEASURABLE short term goals instead of hoping for crazy unattainable results. It's realistic for me to lose 10lbs and 12" by 02/03/2015.

Fit Tip: Focus on INCHES over POUNDS!

Inches are what you see in the mirror, pounds are in your mind. Only you know your weight!

My Ultimate Reset Journey

Thursday, August 14, 2014

Welcome to My Ultimate Reset Diary!  (21 Days)
Start: Friday April 10, 2014
Starting Weight: 210.4lbs
Ending Weight: 195.4lbs

I decided to track every day for you all so that you know what it's like to experience the Ultimate Reset. This is actually my 3rd time doing it! Don't worry, it's not something scary that will harm you...that's kind of what I thought at first too. After I watched many other people I knew doing it and losing weight, I decided to try it out as well.

You might be wondering, why did I do the Ultimate Reset so many times. Or, what is the reason I am doing it this time? Well friends, I have to tell you that even as a coach, I have made some horrible food choices over the last couple of months and need a RESET for my body! The scary truth that I HATE to tell you all is that...after P90X I weighed an amazing 140lbs...NOW I weigh 210lbs!!! What happened?! Well I got too comfortable with myself and thought the weight would NEVER come back! HAH....was I wrong! It really snuck up on me in 2 years.

The Ultimate Reset is for you if you can relate to these reasons:
  • Want to flush toxins out of your organs
  • Improve your digestion
  • Increase your energy
  • Be more positive
  • Lose Weight
  • Lower Cholesterol
  • Eliminate dependency on sugar and caffeine
  • Improve your Health
The Ultimate Reset Comes with Supplements & a Meal Plan to guide you through the next 21 days...since I have already done it 2 times prior, I know that you can REPEAT food and save money!!! That's what I did, in case you are wondering why I  haven't listed all the food I am eating each and every day, that is the reason!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 1: I felt like the day went by fast and I felt really full and ALIVE, like so natural, clean, and on top of the world. I felt really cold and like my joints in my knees were hurting a little bit. By the end of the day I felt slightly sore and was tired an hour earlier than usual. I slept really well and woke up without a problem. I wasn't hungry, I felt full and satisfied. I didn't have any cravings. My weight 210.4lbs. Breakfast: eggs, spinach, and toast. Lunch: salad. Dinner: salmon, broccoli, baked potato.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 2: I feel really clean inside and healthy, I'm not hungry again today and I feel full. I don't have any cravings. I began feeling tired today, I feel like I need a nap, my leg muscles are really sore and I have a slight heaviness feeling around my head, not a headache or anything. I just feel tired and my body feels heavy, like it needs to relax. My weight 209.2lbs. Breakfast: eggs, toast, spinach. Lunch: salad. Dinner: bean tacos.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 3: I didn't sleep too well, I kept waking up because my dogs were fighting and playing on the bed. I was really tired waking up this morning. I weighed myself and I weighed 208.6lbs. I felt really full after breakfast and didn't want to eat lunch until 5 hours later and didn't eat too much lunch because I felt full. I didn't have cravings but I was imagining how amazing pizza and ice cream would be, but I wasn't tempted to cheat at all. I ordered miso soup and California rolls from a Japanese restaurant and it didn't really fill me up and I felt bloated for 10 minutes after eating it, then felt fine. Breakfast: oatmeal, yogurt, blueberries. Lunch: salad. Dinner: miso soup and California roll.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 4: I slept good, except I had a weird dream that I had a body transplant and that I visited ye ole' ice cream in SC. I woke up and weighed 207.2lbs. I couldn't eat all my breakfast and felt full and satisfied faster. I still feel really happy that I'm doing this for myself and I don't feel like I want to veer off and cheat or anything. I feel like I have a long way to go and wonder how I'm going to make it to the end. This week is my PMS/cravings week before my period and I'm surprised that I'm doing well. I sorted through my clothes and got rid of the ones I don't want which is really unlike me. I felt great until I was nearly done and then I felt hot and tired. I had to stop and lay down. After dinner I was feeling really hungry. Breakfast: blueberries, yogurt, and oatmeal. Lunch: salad. Dinner: miso soup and California roll.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Day 5: I was really tired waking up today, but it was a rainy day. I weighed myself and I weighed 205.6 and was pleasantly surprised. I had diarrhea today. Other than that it was a good day.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 6: I didn't sleep good last night because the dogs kept fighting/playing all night so I kept waking up. I woke up and felt refreshed which was nice and I was surprised that because my sleep was interrupted that I woke up with ease. I went to weigh myself and I weighed 206.6lbs, so that means I gained a pound. I have been doing everything just right and I felt really upset and discouraged for a moment because I do struggle with losing weight on my own if I'm not doing a program such as this and I had really hoped to lose at least 10lbs optimistically, but to do everything right and gain weight, that just hit me the wrong way because this program  and your will power aren't easy when everyone around you are free to make their own choices and indulge. I sat back and thought about it and realized that I'm due for my period in 5 days. That usually means water weight has been gained, so I'm going to accept that as a reason and just move forward. So far I haven't had any PMS cravings or mood swings which has been great and I don't miss that one bit. Today I worked an 8 hour shift which is unusual for me and I was super tired, drained, and ate earlier than usual to fit in all my times. So about 2 hours after dinner I was STARVING, like the ridiculously can't go on type. I am also craving everything under the sun. Krissy brought into work peanut butter eggs and were slightly teasing me with them but I didn't eat them and was proud of myself. I felt sick when I went to bed and threw up in my mouth a little bit and felt nausea the whole night.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 7: I am so proud to have made it to the last day of the first week. I always thought the first week was easier meal-wise because the food is the most normal and tasty. I weighed myself and I weighed 205.6lbs and I'm glad because I didn't "suffer" for nothing last night. I slept alright after the nausea went away. I was kinda hungry before bed, but it wasn't too bad.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 8: I slept well and slept in a bit, it felt great. So it was a late start for me taking my supplements and eating. I like that though so I'm not hungry before bed. It keeps me full and satisfied better throughout the day when I wake up later. I weighed myself and I weigh 204.6lbs I'm so happy that I'm still losing weight. I feel very healthy and light inside. Today at the store I broke down internally because I wanted Paska bread for Easter and I couldn't buy it. It's my PMS week and I almost cried that's how bad I wanted it and to be able to eat other Easter foods like everyone else. Adam (my boyfriend) and I fought a little bit cuz I wanted to go out late to the movies. Later that night my period came.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 9: I woke up and was pretty tired and didn't want to wake up for work. I weighed myself and I was 204.2lbs and was a little sad but I have my period so that's probably why. Today was the WORST DAY for me in terms of period cramps and I couldn't take anything for them and my hunger and cravings. I caved in and had some pretzel sticks because I was having a bad day.. That was my big "cheat" even though you're not supposed to. At work I got in an argument with another co-worker so that make my day shitty and I just got emotional after I left and mopey. Not being able to access comfort food is so hard!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 10: Easter Sunday! What a day to be on the Ultimate Reset, talk about WILLPOWER! Seriously, the hardest thing was to NOT EAT what everyone else was eating. I successfully made it with just my salad for lunch and lentil quinoa and broccoli for dinner. I may have had a taste of the chocolate peanut butter cake to save my sanity, but not much of it! I weighed 204.6lbs.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 11: I woke up and weighed myself and I weighed 202.8lbs! I could not believe that tasting a little bit of cake didn't ruin my results! I was so happy, but at the same time I was stressed for the day I had ahead of me. I was traveling to Harrisburg for a meeting and had to pack everything I needed for the day. I was embarrassed to bring all of my stuff, but I was successful at completing the reset on the road. The lady I carpooled with smoked so it gave me a headache and I felt like crap. She had the window open the whole time and wouldn't shut it.. I didn't like that at all, I was FREEZING and it was blowing in my ear. I was really tired and irritable when I came home.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 12: I went to Harrisburg again and it went smoother, I was more prepared and wasn't tired or irritable this time, I think cuz I was less stressed out. I weighed myself and I weighed 202.6lbs. They had candy both days in front of me, pizza and other food and it was so hard to control my cravings.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 13: Today was really hard for me because the guys came to install a new oil burner for us and update our sink. When they were draining the oil out to change the burner, it smelled so badly and made me feel sick. They shut the water off too and were in the kitchen working, so I didn't have the means to do everything I needed to do to prep for my meals. I grabbed a few apples and got ready and left for the day. I decided to get a bacon ranch salad with balsamic vinegar at McDonalds. BAD IDEA. I didn't realize I would been brushing off EVERY SINGLE leaf so I wasn't eating the bacon.. And the chicken looked so good.. It was hard not eating it, but at least Adam got to because I saved the bacon-y leaves for him. I didn't really properly weigh myself because the men were in the kitchen with the scale and I didn't want to appear strange. The weight I got was  204.0lbs.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 14: Today is the last day of week 2!!! I'm so happy to be done with taking detox, it was just a pain in the neck. Today went well, I felt great and not too hungry and had lots of energy. I think the clarity and my knowledge were positively effected because I was on the phone and I never had the courage or heard myself ever talk so professionally and intellectually to someone before. It was a 3 hour conversation. I weighed myself and I weighed 202.2lbs.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 15: I'm finally on week 3!!!! I just want it to be over because I can't wait to see my results and would love to be able to go out to dinner. I had incredible energy and felt like I wanted to conquer the world, clean the whole house from top to bottom, and organize everything, it was great!! I weighed myself and I weighed 201.0lbs and I'm really excited cuz I'm SO CLOSE to being under 200lbs!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 16: Today I woke up and weighed myself and I was 200.4lbs. I am so close to my GOAL! I had a hard time with my cravings and just wanted pizza so bad! My bf ate Wendy's in front of me and it smelled so good. He also teased me about going out to eat. I felt really bad, like it was my fault that we can't go out.. But I'm doing this for MYSELF and I need it. Every day that I've been looking at myself in the mirror I've been noticing I look a lot better and have been leaning out a lot. I love it!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 17: I weighed myself and I was 199.8lbs FINALLY under 200lbs!!!! Today was a great day, I felt like I reached my own personal goal with this program and I cannot wait to see what day 21 brings me!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 18: I weighed myself and I weighed 198.6lbs. Everyone I work with began noticing that I lost a lot of weight in just 18 days and they began to get concerned that I wasn't eating properly. Before they made fun of me for doing this program, but now I have some people interested in joining me! It feels great inspiring other people. I really think being on the Ultimate Reset and losing weight boosts your self-esteem and gives you a permanent high feeling!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 19: I weighed myself and I weighed 197.4lbs. I cannot wait, only two more days of eating like a Vegan. I really miss pizza..but at the same time, I don't want to make myself sick and sabotage myself with all the hard work I put into this. You are supposed to take a few weeks to wean yourself back on meat and dairy...I have never done that before, so we will see what happens.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 20: I weighed myself and I weighed 196.8lbs. YAY! Still losing weight, I'm glad I haven't stopped, I was just thinking that I don't want to gain all my weight back after this and go back to my old way of eating. I know I'm saying this now, but I really hope I can have the will power to continue a healthy lifestyle. I really love the way I look and feel, my cellulite has diminished SO MUCH, my skin glows, and I feel so light and non-bloated!!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Day 21: LAST DAY!!!! So happy to be here, I am thrilled that it is going to be over! I can't wait to get back into regular life and just be smart about my choices. Today I stepped on the scaled and weighed 196.0lbs. Today I wasn't feeling very good. It was the first time throughout the whole process what I felt sick to my stomach.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 22: I weighed myself and weighed 195.4lbs! I lost a total of 15lbs and 10.5inches! I was afraid to eat meat and dairy but I wanted to get back into it. I had an apple, two chocolate cookies, 1 smidgen, 1 small Cadbury egg, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on 2 slices of white bread, 3 slices of pizza, 1 small scoop of vanilla ice cream, and 75% of a dominos lava cake, and a few Cheetos. My stomach didn't hurt, only after I ate the pb&j.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 23: I weighed 196.8lbs wow last night was rough! I woke up dehydrated and just aching like I had a mild flu, it's from all the bad food I ate. I also gained weight, which is normal because my body is inflamed from the bad food that I just fed it since it was used to a clean, light diet for the last couple of weeks.

Beachbody Challenge!

Tuesday, October 8, 2013

If motivation and accountability have kept you from success, then listen up! Each month I will be hosting a challenge for people to take part in. Depending on the program you choose, this challenge runs for 6-12 weeks. WHY does it work?

You become part of an exclusive, closed community group on Facebook. WE all will commit to our fitness goals, health goals, diet, and stay accountable to one another. We will all be in this together! What is so amazing about these challenges I will be hosing starting the first Monday of every month, is that we will all be doing the SAME THING.

We will all be doing the same workout program, drinking Shakeology, tracking our progress, staying connected in our private Facebook group, etc. So if you are thinking "Well I don't have Shakeology" well then YES what I am saying is you have to commit to getting on Shakeology and drinking it as a meal replacement for (1) meal daily. You need to be 100% committed...because I plan on giving 110% of myself to YOU to help you reach success and i want you to do the same!

By joining my challenge you will automatically get 1 month FREE of Beachbody Club membership. This is a great tool to have for all of us because we will all be starting at a different point in our fitness so with the club membership you will get a customizable meal planner that will make reaching our goals even EASIER. Oh and another HUGE BONUS is you get 10% off all your Beachbody products this way too by being a Club Member and go into daily drawings when you track your workouts to win CASH just for working out.

OR

You can become a Beachbody coach for FREE which means the $40 sign up fee is waived!! This is the BEST value by far and it is what I recommend because you will be living by example and making money just by working out! PLUS you'll get a 25% discount on all future purchases..such as Shakeology!! That is a great deal and that's how I got started. Let me tell you--Coaching changed my life for the better! -- That is an understatement!

Before I recap the exact details, I want you to ask yourself these questions...

I'm not seeing any results

Tuesday, October 8, 2013

So you've been diligently working out for 2 weeks now and eating healthy, but you're not seeing ANY RESULTS?! Girl, I can TOTALLY RELATE! You know what, it's REALLY FRUSTRATING, I understand because you feel like you're wasting your time, you wasted your money, and all of the cravings you've been able to conquer was all for nothing! Or maybe you really haven't been eating healthy, you haven't been working out everyday, and you have one too many pieces of pizza and chocolate...am I right? Don't worry, I'm not pointing fingers, I'm here to figure out why you're not seeing results yet, and I just might know why! Okay, so lets say you've been doing EVERYTHING you could possibly be doing right..you're eating healthy, working out every single day and you're not just going through the motions, you're giving it your all. The reason you're not seeing any results is because you cannot get OVERWEIGHT OVERNIGHT, get it?! You did NOT get yourself into this predicament overnight, got it? It took weeks, months, maybe even years to gain all the weight you gained and it will NOT come off in a short period of time. CONSISTENCY is key!

Lets use ME as an example. When I was doing the P90X program, I felt like it wasn't working at first but I BELIEVED in myself and knew it would work because I saw TONS of results pictures and videos...it just would take time. Don't allow yourself to step on the scale, only do it every 30 days and for women, don't do it the week before or during your period because that causes you to be heavier for some reason. Also, always weigh yourself in the morning. Use that 30 days as a focus point, something you look forward to, get excited about it, and give every day EVERYTHING you've got! When you get to that 30 day point, don't be disappointed if the number on the scale isn't what you were expecting to see. I only lost 8 lbs which didn't seem like much. When I looked in the mirror, I felt like I still looked the same..it's funny how your eyes play tricks on you. Make sure to take measurements and pictures too! I went from a size 12 to a size 8 pants in 30 days ....UM THAT'S AMAZING! That really made me not upset over only losing 8 lbs and realized that muscle weighs more than fat so that's why I didn't appear to lose much weight! In my before and after picture, I was SHOCKED because I saw changes that I couldn't see in the mirror!

Have you gained weight since starting your workout routine? That's absolutely normal at first..your body is not used to this new change you've introduced to it, so it retains water. Water is really critical to your results, so make sure you're drinking LOTS of it (half your body weight in oz) to flush out all of the unnecessary water weight that is holding you back from your results. This water is also important to help your muscles strengthen to make you look tighter! When you're working out, especially if you're weight training you WILL be gaining muscle mass. Don't worry ladies, you WON'T BULK UP! You'e body isn't made to bulk up, so it will be lean, tighter, and more compact. Since muscle weighs more than fat, you will gain it at first..I gained muscle weight when I first started P90X which scared me..but I just kept going to get rid of it..you NEED to KEEP GOING!

Now for those of you who haven't been consistent with eating healthy and working out. I'm being 100% REAL with you...you CANNOT outdo a bad diet with exercise...I don't know why, it just cannot happen! I will use ME as an example again. I tried TurboFire before doing P90X and I was SOLD on the part where you can burn 9x the fat, even while you're sleeping...so I thought "hmmm I can workout hardcore and eat whatever I want..DEAL" Well I have to tell you that I didn't lose a thing, I got a little bit tighter but I still looked overweight. I wasted 90 days of my time making that mistake..that's why I'm here to tell you STRAIGHT UP, you NEED to be doing your part with healthy eating and working out...otherwise that's the reason you're not seeing any results.

Need help? I'd LOVE to hear from you!

What if I can't make it through the whole workout?

Tuesday, October 8, 2013

You want to lose weight, you have a picture perfect view of yourself..the way you want to look after you complete your 90 day plan...You're going to look AMAZING, you're going to get new clothes, be more CONFIDENT, HAPPIER, and live life to it's FULLEST, right?! This motivates you to buy P90X, for example, and you know it WILL WORK...it HAS TO, right? You've seen SO MANY transformation pictures and videos and you know friends doing it so as soon as you get it, you pop it in! You heard lots of rumors that it's a VERY HARD workout program and so many people have failed...but you won't! You have that DREAM, that VISION of looking AMAZING and FINALLY shedding those pounds after SO MANY FAILED ATTEMPTS! You make it through the warmup and you think to yourself.."ahh, this isn't so bad"...but then you make it 25 minutes into the workout program and you're feeling pretty defeated, right...you just feel like quitting, stopping...you can't do this..all these negative emotions and thoughts RUSH into your mind..you think to yourself that all the other people who told you it was hard were right and the people who got results got lucky..or have something that you don't ...but you know what...everything you are thinking and telling yourself now in this moment of defeat is WRONG. You CAN get the results you want because you have the power WITHIN. Those people and your friends who have completed the 90 days of the workout program aren't lucky and they aren't any better than you...they have THREE MAGICAL SECRETS that I'm about to share with you...

#1 They BELIEVED in themselves/the program and NEVER gave up!
#2 They had support from friends, family, and/or a coach and a challenge group.
#3 They were CONSISTENT with eating healthy and pushing play.

I want to make ONE thing clear to you...you should NEVER feel defeated, like you're less than anyone else..because EVERYONE, I don't care WHO you have in mind, EVERYONE started just like you..it was their BELIEF in themselves that got them through it all. If you feel like you can't make it through the workout or you suck at it...let me tell you that it's OKAY to pause the DVD. I still do it on days that I'm not feeling up to par. Honestly, it doesn't matter how long it takes you to catch your breath, just pause it and get back into it. You need to think of something POWERFUL that motivates you...why are you miserable with your weight? Use that reason to PUSH YOURSELF through.

I have to confess, I HATE anything cardio because I SUCK at it, so Plyometrics is HARD for me. I pause that DVD all the time even though he gives 30 second breaks...they're totally not enough for me..and you know what, I still got AMAZING RESULTS...you know what..in my first month of doing P90X (and I sucked by the way) I went from a size 12 pants to a size 8 <<<< ARE YOU HEARING THIS PEOPLE?! I was like OMG and of course the results fueled me to complete the full 90 day program. Of course NOT EVERYONE will get the same results. I truly believe I got amazing results in the first 30 days because

#1 I did NOT give up even if I couldn't keep up with the people on the DVD.
#2 I followed the meal plan that comes with the program 95% of the time and allowed myself 1 cheat meal per week on date night which was Friday nights after 2 weeks into the program.
#3 I paused the tape whenever I needed a break and got back into it
#4 I looked at P90X as a challenge, everyone said it was a hard workout program and I wanted to prove to everyone that a girl can do it and look amazing.
#5 I was MOTIVATED EMOTIONALLY, I wanted to feel BEAUTIFUL, look BEAUTIFUL, and SHINE when I walked in the room...I was tired of trying to hide and being a wallflower.

I'd LOVE to hear what motivates you: COMMENT BELOW! Don't hesitate to contact me, I would love to help you achieve the goals you want by motivating you!

Free Trips!

Tuesday, August 27, 2013

When do you ever get the chance to go on multiple FREE trips per year? Seriously like never unless you got a pot of gold for luck, right?! Umm actually I go on free trips all the time and I don't consider myself lucky at all...I can't even win on scratch off's!

So what's the catch? .....

You have to work for it..what in life comes easy? Pretty much nothing in life comes easy, but it's actually not much harder than what you do in your daily life actually!

You go to work to generate an income and you're a HARD WORKER hoping to get that bonus or promotion. How do you feel when it doesn't come and you worked SUPER HARD?! Do you feel like your work was unappreciated? I used to feel like corporations don't care about HOW they make the money, just as long as they get it for THEMSELVES. Who cares if you're on food stamps and borderline bankrupt? Society has instilled the thought of "survival of the fittest" ...so what if you can't make it, no one cares!

Here is my question for you...WHY would you want to work for a company like that?

If you think things will change for the better you are WRONG. No one has told you that before? Look at all the companies squeezing their profit line and cutting employees because they need more PROFIT...not for you, for THEM!

I'm sure you are already aware of the things I'm telling you. I needed to surface these feelings for you so you get an idea of WHY I will NOT tolerate companies that don't care about their employees. So that's why I decided to put matters into my OWN HANDS and not rely on anyone else to tell me that I'm doing a great job, that I need a promotion for my efforts, or that I have vacation time ...I'm gonna give myself the promotion AND the raise because the harder I work, it comes automatically! On that note..do you even have a sufficient amount of vacation time...or time for your FAMILY and CHILDREN when they need you? Making a living is STRESSFUL because you can't be everywhere, you need to sacrifice things that you may later regret.

Like I was saying..I searched for a company that valued their employees and BAM, I found Beachbody and became a coach! Ever since I've been working for myself, making my own schedule, giving myself promotions and raises! I MAKE time for myself and my family! My favorite thing about Beachbody is the RECOGNITION they give you..free trips when you earn success club, featured in newsletters, on stage, in team calls, etc. Many people look for the 'family feeling' when they're a part of an organization and that is EXACTLY how I can describe being a Beachbody Coach. You get to CHOOSE WHO you want to work with..you are your own boss! Anyone can do this, even with a full time job; that's how I started out and worked my way to the top!
